MECHANICS AND CIRCUITRY
MECHANICS AND CIRCUITRY
Sparking curiosity through hands-on discovery!
Our Mini Makers class introduces children from preschool through 5th grade to the exciting worlds of mechanical engineering and basic circuitry. Through guided, hands-on projects, children will explore how things move, light up, and work—building early STEM skills and a deep love for how the world around them is built.
⚙️ Mechanical Concepts Made Fun
Understanding simple machines like levers, pulleys, gears, and wheels
Building basic models that move, lift, and spin
Exploring how force, motion, and balance work in everyday objects
🔌 Intro to Circuitry
Learning how to create basic circuits using batteries, wires, and lights
Exploring concepts like open vs. closed circuits and conductivity
Making fun projects like light-up cards, fans, or buzzers
🧠 Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking
Encouraging trial and error in a safe, encouraging environment
Learning to test ideas, make adjustments, and try again
Connecting hands-on learning to real-life machines and devices
🎨 Creative STEM Projects
Designing and building fun take-home experiments
Integrating art and engineering for a STEAM-rich experience
Collaborating with classmates to invent and explore
Understanding how things work builds confidence, independence, and curiosity. By introducing children to mechanics and circuitry early on, they learn to think like engineers, ask questions like scientists, and create like inventors.
From building spinning toys to lighting up their own creations, Mini Makers gives children the tools to explore, build, and shine!
