Young Whiz offers an affordable outstanding before/after school program and summer camp program right to your district to help working parents and families.

Children continue to learn after school releases through fun activities/curriculum as well as many different fun and educational enrichment classes that parents get to choose from.

We handle all areas of the program administration and share revenue with the district.

OUR PROGRAMS

Fun, exciting, educational mornings and afternoons await your child with Young Whiz. We are excited to be offering a safe, engaging, and outstanding before/after school program that caters to the busy life of parents and families. We are here for you. Our program emphasizes educational experiences both before school and after the bell rings while having fun and making new friends. Our professional teachers use group and one on one instruction to build essential skills and create lifelong learners. Through our outstanding age appropriate engaging curriculum and enrichment classes, we create a fun learning environment where children can be themselves and reach their highest potential.

A TYPICAL DAY WITH YOUNG WHIZ

Mornings

Children begin their day with us by eating a healthy breakfast while socializing with their friends. After breakfast we work one on one and in small groups to finish up any last-minute homework that is required from their class. If the student does not have any homework to work on then they will get the chance to have choice activity time or go to their enrolled enrichment class.
Community Social

After school students take a break and relax from the busy school day while having a healthy snack and talking with their friends and teachers. This is an important time to foster relationships and build a sense of community.
Homework

After the community social students pull out any homework they have for the day. Young Whiz provides daily homework support to each student. Teachers work one on one or in group settings to help guide and assist them with their daily take home tasks. They promote critical thinking and problem solving to help students fully understand every aspect of the topic they are working on, instead of just solving the problem for the student.

Physical Education

Young Whiz values children being active and healthy. The skills, knowledge, and behaviors learned in PE help kids to establish and maintain active lifestyles well into adulthood. We always make time for fun fitness activities outdoor weather permitting or indoor. Children learn how to work well in group settings and show positive sportsmanship.
Special Themed Activities/Learning Centers

Learning centers with Young Whiz are places where students work together in small groups, large groups, or individually within the classroom. Students collaborate and get creative on fun projects that encompasses the STEAM educational approach. Projects are varied to incorporate all areas of learning so students enjoy and have fun.
Enrichment

Young Whiz offers a wide variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) based fun and engaging enrichment classes so children can learn beyond the school bell. These programs offer students a unique and valuable opportunity to innovate, collaborate, improve critical thinking, and learn outside of the standard classroom through fun activities that everyone can enjoy. Our classes are taught by professional experienced teachers to ensure a quality experience for each child.

We have hosted a variety of Youngwhiz classes at our campus for the last 3 years. These have included Chess, Drama, Hindi, and Dance among others. I love having so many options to choose from the same vendor and so many which are inclusive of our youngest students. The staff are reliable and the children enjoy the classes. Management is easy going, will pitch in when necessary and is responsive to concerns.

We hosted Young Whiz’s Coding with Legos summer camp program for 6 weeks at our school. Their curriculum combines the science of coding with the creativity of Legos, with some intentional teamwork built in. Their Instructors show a real talent for working with kids- they are fun, professional, positive, and most importantly, great at engaging students in new and interesting experiences. We will be working with Young Whiz to offer after school classes this year after such a great summer!
