Chess
Young Whiz chess classes is a great program for children of all ages and abilities. Whether your child is new to the game or ready to take their game to the next level, Young Whiz is a great program for your student. Chess has been linked to improving children’s concentration, memory, problem-solving, critical and creative thinking. It even helps with mathematical abilities. In our classes, we pair children up with others of their abilities, teach them the game, and learn new strategies and lessons on how to improve.

In its most simplistic form, chess is quite similar to a large puzzle. In order to “solve” a chess game, players must use problem-solving skills to decide which pieces they should move to yield the best results on the board.
